Church Street Freedom Press

The Church Street Freedom Press (CSFP) is the earliest thing I have posted here within my portfolio. I tend to try and keep my portfolio limited to just a few years back, but in the case of this publication, I have made an exception for a couple of reasons. The first is that I think it still represents me very well. It was a weekly publication of which I was the publisher and creative director. So, aside from managing the entire staff, I handled all photography, illustration, layout, and design and created all ads that didn't come to us from an agency. I also created the website and kept it updated daily with time-sensitive things for the community it served at a time when that wasn't happening in Nashville, Tennessee. I am still very proud of what I accomplished and carried through this time. I maintained and mentored the same staff for six years. I am also pleased to say that I never lost anyone from the creative team during my tenure. I was able to keep everyone excited through any of the ups and downs the publication faced.
